On a tiny island in St. Petersburg, not made up of more than a few large boulders, Â sits a little church - its siding, consisting of richly stained cedar, it's steeple and trim made of gold. Buried deep in the Russian woods, in the middle of an enchantingly pristine lake, this church looks like something quite literally out of a dream.
The church is called, "The Church of Andrew," named after the apostle Andrew, and also the architect

And it's located just up against the boarder of Finland

As you can see, the island doesn't have room for much more

But season to season, it's beauty is immutable

The inside, traditional and ornate, rivals the beauty of its outside

But without a doubt, it is definitely desktop background-worthy

If you know of a more picturesque church, please, do share it with the rest of us
