Two Guys, Both With Disabilities, Have Found a Big Way to Make the World a Better Place

Gu Haixia and Jia Wenqi are two good friends who are not unfamiliar with life's hardships. The former is blind and the latter has lost both his arms. But they've ended up being two of the most hard-working and innovative people we've heard of in a long time.Â
The two are locals of Heibei, China, and were unable to find work there. Meanwhile, the area was being promised by the government that trees would be planted to help strengthen the environment...but that wasn't happening.
So the two saw an opportunity for greatness here. They leased the land from the government and were put in charge of planting trees.
And boy, did they deliver!
They have had to be craftier than most due to their physical ailments.
But with their ingenuity and aptitude for hard work, they've made it work.
They have now planted upwards of 10,000 trees!
They are a truly inspiring pair.
