A Farmer Used Fruit Mutation To Create This Ridiculously Big Strawberry

by N/A, 10 years ago | 1 min read

Strawberries are red, delicious, and by most standards, a relatively small fruit. It's part of why chocolate-covered strawberries are relatively guiltless—you can eat a few without actually consuming THAT much of anything!

That is, until a farm in Japan up and went and changed the game.

Through fruit mutation, a Japanese farmer grew an absolutely ENORMOUS strawberry.
Look at that thing!!
The strawberry clocks in at 250 grams, or for you Americans, just over half a pound.

Side note...America, get on the damn Metric system already.

The strawberry has been officially booked as the Guinness World Records' heaviest strawberry!
