While firefighters battled the recent 7,000 acre wildfire in Arizona they spotted a donkey emerging from the flames. Naturally, they immediately cooled him off with a spray of their hose.

After being saved from her burns, the traumatized animal did what any smart ass would: she stayed by their side the rest of the time.

"We have many wild donkeys living in the area, so we're very used to them here. They're normally quite skittish, but this one was not,"Â DHFDÂ administrator Jeanne Kentch told The Dodo.
