Fall is beautiful, but the falling leaves can kill your lawn, clog your gutters, and just be generally unsightly. Use these 5 tricks to get rid of 'em.
1. Take a PVC pipe with a curved attachment, hook it up to a shopvac on the reverse setting, and use it to clean your gutters.

This is actually brilliant.
So much easier (and safer) than climbing up a ladder and doing it by hand.

2. Use a recycling bin (or any large bucket) as a makeshift "dustpan" while raking leaves.

A) Rake leaves into recycling bin.
B) Dump leaves into large trashcan.
C) Enjoy the time you save.
Much easier than the classic rake-and-hand-scooping technique.

Also, much more fun if you have a canine assistant.
3. If you don't have a leaf blower or you're too lazy to sweep, use a box fan.

It's not just for the lazy; it's economical, too.

Works best on hard surfaces with light leaf coverage.
4. Rake leaves onto a tarp...

...Then fold up the tarp and dump into a trashcan.

This one is maybe the most clever. A real time-saver.
5. Cleaning leaves out of a swimming pool isn't terribly fun. Whenever you try to empty the net, the leaves will stick, making a mess of your hands, arms, and clothes.

This one is simple. Just begin with the net turned inside out, and leaf disposal becomes much faster, easier, and cleaner.

Now go forth and enjoy the cool Autumn weather with all the time you've saved!
