An Open Letter To Retail Stores: Christmas Merch In October Just Makes You Look Greedy

Yeah, it's the most wonderful time of the year...and it's not freaking here yet.
It's officially fall. And as you well know, fall brings with it a laundry list of glorious things.

Beautifully vibrant colors and nostalgic smells...

Halloween...

Thanksgiving...

And of course, football Sundays

And Thursdays...and Mondays.
One thing it shouldn't bring though? CHRISTMAS.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Christmas. In my mind, it really is the greatest time of the year.

But that doesn't mean I want to decorate my home three months in advance.
Not only is it not remotely close to winter, we haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet.
One damn holiday at a time please.
Mixing it with Halloween decorations?? Absolutely detestable.
Just stop. Stop muddying holidays with this overeager, money-hungry bullshit.

When are we, the general public, okay with seeing Christmas things, you ask? The day after Thanksgiving. That's when.
