This Artist's Trip to Brazil Inspired His Latest Series
This project is about a lot more than just nature.
Artist Guy Laramée's work focuses on "the erosion of cultures" and his latest project Onde Eles Moram (Where They Live) is no exception.

Laramée used old books to recreate natural structures like valleys, mountains and rivers that he's seen in his travels.
This project was inspired by Laramée's visit to the Serra do Corvo Branco region of Brazil.

Serra do Corvo Branco translates to Range of the White Raven.
This project is just one is series where Laramée explores the shift from print to digital and how that has changed the way information is exchanged.

His work is his way of giving new life to old reference books and encyclopedias.
He found all of the books in this project in secondhand bookstores in Florianopolis, Brazil.

Laramée's work is currently on display in galleries in Seattle and New York.
