The music industry just lost a legend.
Prince Rogers Nelson, an iconic veteran of the music industry who influenced so many popular artists today, was found dead in his home on the morning of April 21.
The artist known for his impressive vocal range, unforgettable stage presence and androgynous style was a trailblazer in the music industry, and was also known for his passion for activism.
TMZ reported Prince had been battling the flu and that his private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, IL following a performance.

A medical emergency was reported at Prince's Paisley Park, Minnesota estate early morning on April 21.
Reuters reported that someone had died at Prince's home, but there was no confirmation as to who that might be.
Prince's publicist later confirmed the "Purple Rain" singer has passed away.
Cause of death has not yet been released, but an investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after reports of his death surfaced, Prince's Twitter avatar changed to reveal an illustration of the singer with his eyes closed, but third eye open.
